SK-NIC company supports various projects every year. It is in our interest to continue in the set trend. To make the whole process more effective, we have established the SK-NIC Fund, which we want to use to support quality projects in a regular way. For 2019, we have allocated 100,000 EURO.
This year’s call for proposals is expected at the end of September. In cooperation with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for Investments and Informatization, we mandated the Pontis Foundation to gather applications and evaluate them.
This year we will support cyber security and internet education projects, where the implementation will not exceed one year. For the best projects, we will provide finance support in the range of 2,500 EURO to 10,000 EURO. We realize that money is not everything – a good idea is actually an essential element. Our goal is to help with the implementation of these ideas, and we believe, that this will help to accelerate the start of important IT services or technologies, because there are many quality people in the Slovak Republic.
