Call for small projects of the SK-NIC Fund has been opened from September 1, 2020. The call will end in October 15, 2020.
We have allocated 100,000 EUR for this call! The possibility to apply for financial support for projects will be as simple as before. For more information, watch the video.
Small projects within this call will be able to receive support in the range of 2,500 EUR to 10,000 EUR per project.
The upcoming call covers these three topics:
- projects that effectively use information and communication technologies for education or projects educating about these technologies,
- projects supporting communities through ICT (i.e. improving the conditions of its functioning or improving the lives of its members),
- projects introducing artificial intelligence or machine learning.
We are glad that we managed to prepare another call for small projects in such a short time. In the previous call, we recorded a high number of projects that exceeded our expectations several times over. This is also confirmation for us that we have identified the topics of the call appropriately. The SK-NIC fund supports individuals, organizations and communities with high potential and we again expect quality projects in this call.
„Education and training are certainly among the areas that need constant support and funding for their development. We need to change our mentality in Slovakia and instead of working with our hands for car manufacturers, we have to start selling our creativity and the work of our brains. I am glad that there are themes in the currently running call that will help this. If you have a good idea, but not enough money, do not hesitate and get involved,“ said the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Informatization Mrs. Veronika Remišová.
The SK-NIC Fund in its current form started with the first call in 2019. Since then, we have provided almost 400,000 EUR! With this call, the support of the fund for the internet community and virtual Slovakia will exceed half a million EUR!
