Following significant investment into new systems and hardware, SK-NIC, a. s. will contribute this year to improvement of the Slovak internet security. Slovakia will receive the most advanced version of the DNSSEC technology.
Starting in March of this year, Slovak companies as well as individual users will be able to secure their websites with .SK top level domain against being attacked so easily by hackers who would like to redirect the clients to false websites. This will be possible thanks to the planned launch of the DNSSEC service, which enables securing domain names (e.g. www.sk-nic.sk) on internet against spoofing and against intentional manipulation.
In cooperation with its strategic partner, London-based CentralNic Group PLC, SK-NIC, a. s. will bring to Slovakia the most advanced version of the DNSSEC service utilizing Elliptic Curve Digital Signing Algorithm – ECDSA.
One year after entry of the new strategic investor, London-based CentralNic Group PLC, SK-NIC, a. s. thus continues in improving the services of the .SK top level domain registry.
