SK-NIC, a.s., the registration authority for the top level domain name .sk has again become one of the main partners of the largest IT testing in Slovakia – IT Fitness test 2019, which 8th year is organised by IT Association of Slovakia in partnership with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for Investments and Informatization. The largest testing of IT knowledge and skills starts today and will run until July 15, 2019.
IT Fitness test is divided into 3 difficulty levels and it is focused on verifying the digital skills of target groups, especially graduates of primary and secondary schools and universities, but also of teachers and public.
As the last year of testing has shown serious deficiencies, especially in the field of cybersecurity, this year’s testing put a special emphasis on this part of the test.
An analytical study based on the results of testing will be developed in cooperation with the National Institute for Certified Educational Measurements and it will serve as background material for the appropriate heading of IT education in Slovakia.
IT Fitness test is part of the European Commission’s Digital skills and Jobs Coalition campaign and it has involved over 180,000 respondents within its 7 years of existence. This year’s ambition is to overcome 200,000 respondents.
