Due to the situation related to COVID-19, we have extended the deadline of the call of the SK-NIC Fund for large projects until 31st May 2020, so that applicants could have more time to prepare and submit projects. And this had a positive effect!
After the deadline for submitting applications, we are pleased to say that a total of 144 applications have been received. So their number is almost threefold compared to last year’s call!
The first application was received 7 days after the launch of the call and the last one two minutes before its closure on 31st May 2020.
All applications are being formally checked during these days. Then they will be forwarded to the evaluators, who will assess them according to a pre-approved mechanism. The best projects will be accepted and will receive financial support from the SK-NIC Fund.
Due the number of applications, we can certainly say that we will redistribute the whole allocated amount of 150,000 EUR.
We are glad that we have managed „to hit the nail on the head“. The amount of support requested even exceeds the fund’s limit for the 2020 call for large projects. It reassures us about the fact that we are going in the right direction, we have set up the system well and it is positively perceived by the public and the professional community.
We believe that the final decision of the evaluation committee and the subsequent approval will take place as soon as possible, although such a number will take some time. The list of approved projects can be found on our website soon and also on the Pontis Foundation website, which is responsible for the process of collecting the applications and evaluating the projects.
And that’s not all – you can look forward to another call in the autumn of this year!
