Even if the deployment of DNSSEC in the .sk domain is already now excellent, in order to secure a higher standard of the services for domain holders and a comfort of services for the registrars, we are planning to introduce automated DNSSEC activation on the basis of the data on the DNS servers (so called CDS scanning).
This process is an alternative to entering of the data for DNSSEC to our .sk domain registry. We also point out that only two ccTLD – .ch (Switzerland) and .cz (Czech Republic) have this state-of-the-art technology in the DNSSEC field, Slovakia will thus rank as third!
The CDS scanning service for the .sk domain will be launched already from 1 January 2020 and we are glad that we can again increase the standard of the provided services and contribute to higher security of virtual Slovakia.
This system will function by daily scanning of the zone records of individual domains for a so called CDS record (according to RFC 8078). More detailed technical information for the registrars are available in the registrar console.
