One of the project creators – civic association IPčko – has been supported by our SK-NIC Fund in relation to their psychological online counseling and now it opened a unique club, which aims to be a place of support for young people in difficult life situations.
The club was named Machovisko and it is a completely new concept of anonymous, professional and informal help.
The impulse for this project creation were the reactions of people on the helplines, who often pointed out lack of socialization with their peers, absence of opportunities for self-development and the resulting need of self-isolation.
„Machovisko offers an anonymous and safe space with a lot of leisure activities and especially free professional help as well as a contact point where they can come in a crisis situation,“ said PhDr. Marek Madro, PhD, program director of the civic association IPčko.
It can be said that it is a kind of special “bar” for the soul. With the difference that a waiter serving in the bar is a psychologist, that will approacch you in an informal way.. The club is expected to organize regular therapeutic activities as well as leisure activities such as concerts of various bands, discussions, creative workshops, etc. The club also has a mini café and a counseling room, where counseling can take place on a more discreet level.
We are very happy that SK-NIC, as a long-term partner of the psychological counseling center IPčko, was able to participate in the opening of the first club like Machovisko, and we wish the newly established club a lot of success in this innovative form of therapy!
