Almost 90 participants from registrars, public institutions and IT companies took part in the kick-off training about DNSSEC (Domain Name Security Extensions), which took place on February 6th in cooperation with our strategic partner CentralNic Group PLC.
During the training, CentralNic’s Chief Technology Officer Gavin Brown introduced topics of DNSSEC in theory, DNSSEC in practice and in particular informed participants about the practical setup of this service in our registrar system.
Training took place in English language with simultaneous interpreting into Slovak; the venue was Binarium Digital sanctuary in Bratislava.
Discussion that followed the training answered not only important questions concerning the new service of DNSSEC, but also further questions concerning the DNS security, functioning of the registrar system for .SK top level domain as well as worldwide experience of the CentralNic Group in operation and management of over hundred of the top level domains.
Back in 2010, CentralNic’s CTO Gavin Brown lead a project of DNSSEC deployment on more than twenty top level domains.
TV report from the training was aired by TA3 news channel (Slovak only).
